Be Kind And Share Knowledge
There are two types of people: A hoarder who insists on owning all the knowledge, or a sharer willing to give away your share.
Sure, power belongs to whoever is holding the knowledge, but the real wealth is when it is shared. Even if you are proud of your knowledge, think for a moment how important it is when you pass that knowledge forward. You never ever know which life will be transformed by your shared knowledge, but the chain reaction is a process that is truly undeniably powerful.
Knowledge is as useless as a plant without fruit, till it is not put in use or shared.’
This is true because, although we live in an age increasingly awash with information, much of the most valuable material is known only to a small number of people and inaccessible to others.
Basic selfish materialism is insufficient today to warrant withholding knowledge from others.
An entire village would reap the benefits of a single man who couldn’t keep a good idea to himself. Whenever someone shared useful knowledge, we would take 10 steps instead of just one. When we share knowledge readily without hesitation, we leap forward together.
When knowledge is generously shared, it’s not only the information that is given, but also the capacity for success itself. It’s about creating a supportive environment, where people work together to realize their full potential. When we let go of our knowledge and experience, we’re giving someone a hand up, we’re creating a community based on trust, respect, and regard for one another.
Moreover, knowledge-sharing isn’t a zero-sum game. Giving information away doesn’t lessen its worth. It builds on it. When you share your knowledge, you don’t lose any of it — you enhance its effects and distribute its impact. Knowledge is a resource that doesn’t become depleted through sharing. Instead of hoarding information, the more you share, the more you gain.
Now, it is your turn. You can share your knowledge with the world. Change people’s lives for the better. Whether it’s huge or small, it doesn’t matter.
As we share our knowledge more freely, without holding anything back, we will find that doing so is not just a noble act. It is an effective tool for a better world — perhaps the best tool of all.
Somewhere out there in the world, you yourself may have been the spark that lit the flame.
